 Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea

Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff,

And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. oh

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail

Jackie kept a lookout perched on puffs gigantic tail,

Noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came,

Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name. oh!

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys

Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys.

One grey night it happened, Jackie paper came no more

And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain,

Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.

Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave,

So puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. oh!

 NARRATIVE TEXT PUFF,THE MAGIC DRAGON

    One day there is a little boy named Jackie paper, who is filled with so much self-doubt and fear that he has stopped talking altogether. His parents are so concerned that they have three doctors examine him, and they say it is hopeless and that little Jackie will never talk again. Jackie returns to his room, where he sits until Puff comes to his bedroom window and starts a conversation with him.

    Puff invites himself in, talks to Jackie about inner happiness, and pulls a long sheet of paper out of a magic bag. He cuts the paper into a paper doll shaped like Jackie and dubs it Jackie Paper. He explains Jackie Paper can do anything and then asks he if he can put his happiness into it. After he does so, the paper doll version of Jackie comes to life, and Puff then begin to make plans to go to Hannalee, which is located in the sea. Jackie admits he is afraid. Puff then helps Jackie make a boat using things in Jackie's room, such as string, sealing wax, and the frame of his bed.

    They set out onto the ocean, where they meet a boat filled with kings and princes in the shape of cards. Afterward Jackie says he was afraid of pirates after hearing about them. They then run into Very Long, a giant pirate who takes them to his island. While they await their fate, Puff says that Very Long will not be scary if they get to know him. They then view his inner desire with Puff's magic smoke rings which have the power to reveal hidden things. It reveals that Very Long secretly wishes to be a baker. Jackie then goes and asks Very Long if he can make pies, which Jackie doubts Long could. After baking dozens of pies, Very Long expresses that he always wanted to be a baker, but never believed he could do it and was afraid he couldn't change from being a pirate. Jackie prompts him to make this change, and Very Long expresses his gratitude to Jackie and Puff.

    They continue their journey until they reach the starless sky, where jealous clouds block out the brightness of the stars. One of the stars falls, and Puff instructs Jackie to take the small star to the sky with the boat, which Puff gives butterfly wings. In order for the ship to fly, Puff has to get out of the boat, leaving Jackie alone to face his fears. Jackie then returns the star to sky, brightening the sky. Puff rewards Jackie with a medal for bravery.

    Eventually they reach Hannalee, which, instead of a paradise, turns out to be a gloomy place. This is revealed to be the work of living sneezes that out of depression made the place gloomy to fit their mood. Puff then orders Jackie to leave, as this no place for him. After that Puff sadly walks to his cave, realizing he wasn't brave enough to defeat the sneezes. He is then reunited with Jackie, who returns with Very Long and his chicken soup to cure the living sneezes of their colds, making them happy. They then return Hannalee to its happy glory by singing.

   Once this is done, Puff and Jackie go back to Jackie's room and return Jackie to his body. Puff tells Jackie that thanks to his creativity he is now a brave boy and leaves, saying he will return to visit. Jackie's parents come into the room to find Jackie happy and talking again. They then hug Jackie and express their love for him. Finally,ends with Puff asking the audience if they just saw a dragon walk by, similar to what he asked Jackie at the beginning of the story.

7 KEAJAIBAN DUNIA

1. Uluru, Australia

 
Uluru Kata Tjuta juga dikenal sebagai Ayers Rock adalah sebuah formasi batu besar yang terletak di Australia tengah, di Northern Territory. Taman Nasional Uluru terletak di Uluru-Kata Tjuta, 400 km sebelah barat daya dari Alice Springs. Uluru adalah monolit terbesar kedua di dunia (setelah Gunung Agustus, juga di Australia) lebih tinggi dari 318 meter dan lingkar 8 km. Uluru kedalaman sekitar 2,5 kilometer ke dalam tanah. Uluru digambarkan oleh penjelajah Ernst Giles pada tahun 1872 sebagai kerikil yang luar biasa. Uluru akan berubah warna ketika mengandalkan kilatan cahaya yang menyinarinya pada waktu yang berbeda. Sinar matahari terbenam akan menampilkan pemandangan luar biasa Uluru. Monolit ini terbentuk dari batu pasir disusupi dengan berbagai mineral seperti felspar (batupasir Arkosik) yang memantulkan cahaya merah sampai terbit matahari dan set membuat cahaya Uluru. Ini monolit mendapatkan warna karat dari proses oksidasi.


2. Puerto Princesa Underground River, Philippines


                                               
Puerto Princesa Underground River, Philippines merupakan warisan Dunia yang menampilkan lanskap karst batu kapur yang spektakuler di samping sungai terpanjang traversable bawah tanah di dunia. Peregangan 8 kilometer, sungai ini mengarah ke sebuah gua bawah tanah / laguna umumnya dikenal sebagai “Katedral”, karena dimensi yang besar. Taman nasional ini meliputi ekosistem lengkap dari sungai bawah tanah yang berjalan di bawah pegunungan kapur karst langsung ke laut, jangkauan lebih rendah menjadikannya sering pasang surut. Daerah ini merupakan salah satu hutan yang memiliki tanaman bunga terkaya di Asia dan sangat beraneka ragam, banyak flora dan fauna yang endemik atau terkait dengan orang-orang dari Borneo.

3. The Great Barrier Reef, Australia

                                                                                  
Great Barrier Reef adalah kumpulan terumbu karang terbesar dunia yang terdiri dari kurang lebih 3.000 karang dan 900 pulau, yang membentang sepanjang 2.600 km. Karang ini berlokasi di Laut Koral, lepas pantai Queensland di timur laut Australia. Sebagian besar wilayah karang ini termasuk bagian yang dilindungi oleh Taman Laut Karang Penghalang Besar (Great Barrier Reef Marine Park). Karang Penghalang Besar (KPB) dapat dilihat dari luar angkasa dan kadang disebut sebagai organisme tunggal terbesar di dunia. Pada kenyataannya, ia terbentuk dari berjuta organisme kecil, dikenal dengan sebutan polip koral (coral polyp).

4. The Amazon

 

The Amazon adalah hutan hujan di Amazon, Amerika Selatan. Wilayah ini, yang juga disebut Amazonia atau Amazon Basin, meliputi wilayah seluas tujuh juta kilometer persegi, walaupun hutannya sendiri seluas 5.5 juta kilometer persegi, terletak di sembilan negara: Brasil (dengan 60 persen hutan), Kolombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ekuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, dan Guyana Perancis. Ini adalah rumah masyarakat adat, termasuk Urarina di Peru.


5. Pulau Komodo, Indonesia


Taman Nasional Komodo terletak di tengah kepulauan Indonesia, antara pulau Sumbawa dan Flores. Didirikan pada tahun 1980, awalnya tujuan utama Taman Nasional adalah untuk melestarikan binatang unik Komodo (Varanus komodoensis) dan habitatnya. Namun, setelah bertahun-tahun, tujuan dari telah diperluas juga untuk melindungi keanekaragaman hayati seluruhnya, baik darat dan laut.
6. Grand Canyon, USA


Grand Canyon, USA sebuah ngarai tebing-terjal, diukir oleh Sungai Colorado, di utara Arizona. Ngarai ini merupakan satu dari Tujuh Keajaiban Dunia dan sebagian besar berada di Taman Nasional Grand Canyon; salah satu taman nasional pertama di Amerika Serikat. . Ngarai ini, diciptakan oleh Sungai Colorado yang memotong sebuah selat selama jutaan tahun, panjangnya kira-kira 446 km, dengan lebar mulai dari 6 sampai 29 km dan dengan kedalaman lebih dari 1.600 m. Hampir dari 2000 juta tahun sejarah Bumi telah terpotong oleh Sungai Colorado dan anak sungainya lapis demi lapis sedimen ketika Dataran Tinggi Colorado mulai terangkat. Grand Canyon pertama kali dilihat oleh orang Eropa pada 1540, García López de Cárdenas dari Spanyol. Ekspedisi saintifik pertama ke canyon ini dipimpin oleh Mayor AS John Wesley Powell pada akhir 1870-an. Powell menunjuk ke batuan sedimen yang terbuka di ngarai sebagai “daun dalam buku cerita agung”. Namun, jauh sebelum masa itu, wilayah ini telah ditinggali oleh Penduduk Asli Amerika yang membangun tempat tinggal di tembok ngarai ini.

 7. Iguazu Falls, Argentina/Brazil

 

Nama ini berasal dari Guaran atau kata-kata Tupi y [ɨ] (air) dan ûasú [Wasu] (besar). Legenda mengatakan bahwa dewa berencana untuk menikah dengan seorang pribumi cantik bernama Naipí, yang melarikan diri dengan kekasih Tarobá fana nya dalam kano. Dalam amarah, dewa diiris sungai menciptakan air terjun, mengutuk para pecinta ke jatuh kekal. Yang pertama Eropa untuk menemukan jatuh adalah Conquistador Spanyol Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca pada tahun 1541, setelah yang salah satu jatuh di sisi Argentina bernama jatuh ditemukan kembali oleh Boselli pada akhir abad kesembilan belas, dan salah satu Argentina jatuh adalah namanya. Iguazu Falls terpilih sebagai calon untuk menjadi salah satu New7Wonders of Nature oleh Tujuh Keajaiban Baru Dunia Foundation. Pada Februari 2009 ia peringkat kelima di Grup F, kategori untuk danau, sungai, dan air terjun.
